A Brief History

Accounting is a universal language understood by most corporate stakeholders, including small, medium, and large companies. Developments in the business world, particularly post-1980s, characterized by high competition, automation, computerization, and a semi-public orientation, have presented significant challenges for the previously manually operated accounting industry to adapt to the business world.

The Bachelor of Accounting Study Program is one of the programs at the Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Economics, University of Mataram, established based on Decree of the Director General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia No. 152/DIKTI/Kep/1996 concerning the Establishment of the Bachelor of Accounting Study Program at the Faculty of Economics, University of Mataram.

Vision and Mision

Vision

To become an internationally competitive accounting study program based on research and development of accounting science by 2025.

Mision

  1. To provide accounting education with an integrated learning system tailored to stakeholder needs, supported by mastery of technological tools and the use of a variety of cutting-edge academic literature.
  2. To build an academic environment that supports the achievement of students’ accounting competency targets.
  3. To conduct superior research in various accounting disciplines that can contribute to the development of accounting science and practice, as well as provide a basis for formulating policies and regulations for stakeholders.
  4. To carry out community service activities in the field of accounting relevant to the needs of MSMEs, the private sector, and the government.
