Socialization of the PMM MBKM Program at FEB Unram: Encouraging D-III Accounting Students to Exchange Experiences Across Campuses

The Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Mataram (FEB Unram) held a socialization event for the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program under the Independent Student Exchange (PMM) scheme on Saturday, April 1, 2023. The event took place in the FEB Unram theater room and was attended by students from the Diploma III Accounting Program.

The socialization featured the Vice Dean I for Academic Affairs, Mr. Diswandi, SE, M.Sc, Ph.D, as the main speaker. In his presentation, he emphasized the importance of the PMM program as a platform for students to broaden their horizons, enrich their academic experience across cultures, and build a national network beyond their home campus.

“The PMM program is a golden opportunity for students to study at other universities throughout Indonesia without losing academic credit rights. This also aligns with the spirit of MBKM, which encourages flexibility and independence in the learning process,” said Diswandi.

The event was also attended by the Head of the D3 Accounting Study Program, Mrs. Eni Indriani, SE, MA, and the Program Secretary, Mrs. Nurabiah, MMSI. Both expressed their full support for the implementation of the PMM program and encouraged students not to hesitate to participate.

The students showed great enthusiasm during the Q&A session, reflecting strong interest in joining this exchange program in the future.

With this socialization event, FEB Unram hopes more students will be motivated to take part in the MBKM program, particularly the PMM scheme, to produce graduates who are adaptive, broad-minded, and ready to compete at the national and global levels.
