ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE AND WORK PROCEDURES
The Associate of Accountancy study program has an organizational structure like the following chart:
An explanation of each section in the organizational structure of the DIII Accounting Study Program is as follows
Dean
The dean is a leadership element who is under and directly responsible to the chancellor, who has the task of leading the implementation of education and teaching, research, community service, academic community assistance and administrative implementation. The Dean is responsible for:
- Organizing faculty development
- Fostering and developing research both individually and as a group in the field of pure, applied, purely applied research
- Implementing community service policies that are oriented towards basic scientific patterns
- Fostering and developing educational and administrative staff.
- Establishing harmonious cooperative relations between the academic community
- Prepare a guidebook for the implementation of education and teaching, research and community service.
- Develop faculty work plans for the short, medium and long term
Deputy Dean
The Deputy Dean carries out the daily duties of the dean consisting of:
- The Dean’s Representative I, has the task of representing the dean in assisting the implementation of education and teaching, research, as well as community service.
- Deputy Dean II, has the task of representing the dean in assisting the implementation of activities in the fields of general administration and finance
- Deputy Dean III, has the task of representing the dean in assisting the implementation of activities in the field of student affairs and extra-curricular education
Faculty Senate
The faculty senate is the highest normative and representative body within the faculty which has the authority to outline University policies and regulations for faculties concerned with:
- Formulate Faculty academic policies
- Formulate policies for assessing academic achievement and personality skills of lecturers
- Formulate norms and benchmarks for the implementation of Faculty administration
- Assessing the responsibility of Faculty leaders for the implementation of academic policies stipulated as referred to in letter (a)
- Provide consideration to the University leadership regarding the proposed dean to be appointed as faculty leader.
- The faculty senate consists of professors; faculty leaders, department heads, and lecturer representatives.
- The faculty senate is known by the Dean who is assisted by a senate secretary selected from the members.
Major
- Department is an academic implementation element in a faculty that carries out academic and/or professional education in part or one way of science, technology, certain arts.
- Departments can form study programs, laboratories, and/or studio departments consisting of:
- Leadership elements: head and department secretary
- Academic implementing elements: lecturers
- Administrative support elements
- The department head is responsible to the Dean
Study program
The study program is the main element for carrying out departmental duties within the faculty. The implementation of study programs is adapted to the goals and needs of national development in general and development in the field of education in particular. Study programs are held in relevant departments according to the path and level of education. If there is no relevant major, the study program is organized by the faculty. The implementation of each study program is led by a chairman who is directly responsible to the department head or to the Dean if there is no relevant department. In carrying out duties for the implementation of departmental duties, the head of the study program functions:
- Prepare a comprehensive study program and semester study program for the field.
- Assist in the implementation of evaluation and curriculum development in their field.
- Create an arrangement of course package offerings
- Carrying out the arrangements and administration of exams
- Carry out the development and dissemination of appropriate technology.
Lecturer
Lecturers are functional position holders within the department and are directly responsible to the head of the department, who is tasked with carrying out education, teaching, research and community service in accordance with their field of expertise, as well as providing guidance to students in order to meet students’ needs and interests in their educational process. Each lecturer is obliged to carry out teaching, research, community service and administrative duties, including in the following forms:
- Carrying out academic duties as stated in the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education No. 48/U/1983 concerning SKS assignment load.
- Prepare lecture plans according to the Semester Lecture Plan (RPS).
- Hold exams and check and submit semester exam scores (NUS) along with their components (U1, U2, U3) in the list that has been prepared at the faculty.
- Provide academic and non-academic advice.
- Carry out guidance on PKL Reports in accordance with the guidelines for writing PKL DIII Accounting Reports.
- The implementation of the above obligations is regulated in accordance with scientific requirements and the rank/position of the lecturer.
Academic Advisor (PA)
Academic Advisors (PA) for students in the Diploma program are appointed from the teaching staff in the Diploma III Accounting Study Program. Academic advisors are tasked with providing academic advice and guidance aimed at ensuring students can complete their study programs effectively and efficiently according to their interests, talents and abilities. Academic advisors for students are determined by the study program and assigned until the student concerned ends their study period. Academic advisors provide direction, guidance and assistance to students in:
- Calculation of the number of credits and IP achieved.
- Guidance to determine the type of course to be taken.
- Fill out the Study Plan Card (KRS) and Semester Progress Card (KPS).
- Help solve academic problems.
Administration
- The administration section is a technical and administrative service unit within the study program environment.
- The administration section consists of four sub-sections, namely:
- The general and equipment sub-section has the task of carrying out equipment and general administrative matters.
- The education sub-section that has the task of carrying out education and teaching affairs.
- The student affairs sub-division is tasked with carrying out student and alumni affairs
- The finance sub-section is tasked with carrying out financial and welfare affairs.
