The Accounting Department, Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Mataram (FEB Unram) held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) event on Tuesday, July 16 2024, at the Lombok Astoria Hotel, Mataram. This event has the theme “Strengthening Lecturer Competencies in International Standard Hospitality Accounting through SASAMBO Local Wisdom” and is part of the Merdeka Campus Competition Program (PKKM). The series of events began with the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) and Implementation Arrangement between the study program at FEB Unram and partners in the Hospitality Accounting industry. Head of the Accounting Department, Baiq Anggun Hilendri L, SE., M.Si., Ak., CA, then presented “The Bachelor of Accounting Study Program Curriculum Answers DUDI Needs from Time to Time”. Industry parties from Aruna Resort Convention, Pullman Lombok Mandalika, Holiday Inn Resort, and Novotel Lombok Resort Villas, also provided their views on accounting needs in the hotel sector. The event closed with a presentation on “Adjusting the Curriculum Towards an Excellent Study Program in the Hospitality Business and Accounting Fields” as well as an interactive question and answer session. This FGD aims to improve lecturer competency through the integration of SASAMBO local wisdom in the international standard curriculum.
