Strengthening International Cooperation of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Mataram
On Wednesday, October 16, 2024, the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Mataram successfully held an exclusive academic discussion with Prof. Dato’ Dr. Norhasni binti Zainal Abiddin, Assistant Vice Chancellor (Academic and International) of the National Defense University of Malaysia. As an Adjunct Professor at the University of Mataram since May 2023, Prof. Norhasni shared her insights on strengthening international cooperation and global academic development strategies. The activity, which took place in The Gade Room, Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Mataram, was an important step in strengthening international networks, in line with the vision of the University of Mataram to become an internationally competitive research-based higher education institution by 2025. This discussion opened up opportunities for students and lecturers to deepen academic collaboration with international partners and explore innovative ideas for joint development. The Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Mataram, Dr. Ihsan Ro’is, M.Si, expressed his hope that through this strategic collaboration, the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Mataram, would be closer to achieving internationalization. He emphasized that cooperation with international universities is a real step in creating mutually beneficial academic synergy and strengthening global competitiveness. Internationalization is the way to bring universities to a higher level in the global arena. We are committed to strengthening cooperation with international partners such as Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia, in order to create wider opportunities for our students and lecturers,” said Dr. Ihsan. This activity is expected to be the beginning of closer relations with international partners, which will provide long-term benefits for the development of education and research at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Mataram.
