Open Debate of Candidates for Chair and Secretary General of BEM FEB 2025: Hot Atmosphere, Burning Spirit
The atmosphere on Friday, November 29, 2024 at the FEB Field, University of Mataram felt different. The cheers of students filled the air, burning enthusiasm radiated from the faces of the candidates for chairman and secretary of BEM FEB 2025 who were arguing in an open debate. The event, which was attended by hundreds of FEB students, was an arena for prospective leaders to show their vision and mission in leading the largest student organization in the faculty. The debate, moderated by Devi Elfianingsih, was exciting and full of dynamics. Four panelists from various fields, ranging from regional environmental issues to current issues on campus, asked sharp questions that forced the candidates to think critically and provide convincing answers. The atmosphere heated up when several candidates argued about the work programs they were carrying, but the spirit of democracy was maintained and the debate continued in an orderly manner. The candidates for chairman and secretary of BEM FEB 2025 demonstrated their ability to give speeches, convey ideas, and answer questions clearly and confidently. They also demonstrated their commitment to advancing FEB, the university, and even Indonesia through innovative and impactful programs. This open debate is expected to be a momentum for FEB students to choose the right and quality leader candidates. Hopefully, through this healthy democratic process, FEB can produce visionary leaders with integrity who are able to lead FEB to a bright future. Hopefully, through this open debate, we can choose good leaders to be together, both for the faculty, the university, and even for Indonesia.
