2025 Faculty Working Meeting, FEB Unram Formulates Academic and Innovation Strategy

Mataram, 21-22 February 2025 – The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) of the University of Mataram (Unram) held a Faculty Working Meeting (RKF) at the Merumata Hotel on 21-22 February 2025. This event was attended by faculty leaders, lecturers, education staff, and collaborative partners in order to formulate strategies and innovations for future faculty development.

The first day began with participant registration at 13.30 WITA, followed by the official opening by the Dean of FEB Unram, Dr. Ihsan Ro’is. In his speech, he highlighted the impact of the 40% budget efficiency policy implemented by the government on the University of Mataram. This policy affects campus operations as well as funding for research and community service. Therefore, a mature strategy is needed so that budget efficiency does not reduce the quality of academic and institutional services. FEB Unram targets achieving superior accreditation by 2025 as part of improving academic quality and national reputation. Apart from that, the faculty is also preparing to host the Grand Congress for the Election of General Chair of the Association of Indonesian Faculty of Economics and Business (AFEBI) which is scheduled for October-November 2025.

In the student internship program evaluation session, FEB Unram invited PT BISI Internasional to review the effectiveness of this program in improving student competency. Deputy Dean I FEB Unram emphasized that the Independent Campus Learning (MBKM) program must provide concrete benefits for students. PT BISI Internasional also ensures that FEB Unram graduates have job opportunities in various positions, such as administration, accounting, marketing, and business units collaborating with distributors.

The faculty work program presentation session started at 17.00 WITA, with the presentation of strategic plans by the Deputy Deans I, II and III. Deputy Dean I, Dr. Embun Suryani, highlighted the development of an Outcome-Based Education (OBE) based curriculum, increasing international competitiveness, and optimizing digital libraries. Deputy Dean II, Baiq Anggun HL, SE., M.Sc., Ak., CA., discussed budget efficiency and Bank Mandiri’s CSR implementation program in the form of E-Library. Meanwhile, Deputy Dean III, Lalu Muh. Furkan, SE., MM., Ph.D., focuses on improving the quality of student organizations, alumni cooperation, and institutional collaboration.

The second day of the RKF began with a presentation of work programs from various study programs at FEB Unram. Dr. Luluk Fadiliyanti, M.Sc., explained the work program of the Department of Economics and Development Studies (IESP), followed by Dr. Baiq Handayani R., SE., MM., for the Department of Management, and Dr. Wahidatul Husnaini, SE., M.Sc., for the Accounting Department. The presentation continued with master and doctoral level work programs by Embun Suryani, SE., M.Si., Ph.D., Dr. Lilik Handajani, SE., MSA., and Dr. Prayitno Basuki, MA.

The afternoon session presented presentations from various supporting units, such as the Quality Assurance Group by Animah, SE., M.Sc., the BP2EB work program by M. Zainal Wafik, SE., M.Ec.Dev., and the Tax Center by D. Tialurra Della Nabila, SE., M.Ak. Other presentations included the SAL work program by Vici Handalusia Husni, M.S.E., and the KUI work program by Rini Ridhawati, SE., MSA., Ak. The event closed with a closing session by the committee and participant checkout.

This Faculty Working Meeting is an important momentum in developing academic development strategies, improving the quality of education, and strengthening cooperation with various parties. It is hoped that the results of this working meeting can lead FEB Unram to become a superior and adaptive institution to current developments.
