The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at Universitas Mataram successfully held an international guest lecture on “Recognizing Opportunities and Generating Ideas” on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. This event aimed to enrich students’ knowledge of entrepreneurship and business innovation, featuring a distinguished speaker, Professor Dr. Mohd Anuar bin Arshad from Universiti Sains Malaysia.

The lecture took place at the Theater Hall, Building C, FEB Universitas Mataram, starting at 9:00 AM WITA. The event was officially opened by the Vice Dean III of FEB Universitas Mataram, Dr. Lalu M. Furkan, Ph.D., who expressed his appreciation to the speaker for sharing his knowledge and experience. He also emphasized the importance of academic collaboration and enhancing students’ capacity to create innovative business opportunities.

In addition to FEB students from Universitas Mataram, the guest lecture was also attended by students from Shangrao Normal University (SRNU), China. Their participation added an international perspective to the interactive discussions on strategies for identifying business opportunities and generating creative ideas.

The event aligns with the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) of higher education institutions, particularly in shaping students and graduates who not only possess academic competence but are also capable of becoming entrepreneurs contributing to the university’s global competitiveness.

Through this event, it is expected that further collaboration will be established between Universitas Mataram, Universiti Sains Malaysia, and Shangrao Normal University. This collaboration is anticipated to have a positive impact on improving educational quality and supporting the development of academic-based entrepreneurship in higher education institutions.
