MiriCanvas Korea Goes to Campus: Hosts Seminar and MoA Signing with FEB Unram

Mataram – The Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Mataram (FEB Unram), welcomed a visit from MiriCanvas, a leading graphic design application company from South Korea, on Friday, May 16, 2025. This event marked a significant step in FEB Unram’s efforts to expand international collaboration and strengthen support for students’ design skills development.

Under the theme MiriCanvas Goes to Campus, a series of engaging activities were held, including a graphic design seminar, the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) and an Implementation Agreement (IA) between MiriCanvas and FEB Unram, as well as a joint podcast session discussing design trends and industry–university collaboration.

The event was enthusiastically received by students from various faculties at the University of Mataram, as well as lecturers and FEB Unram administrators. Dean of FEB Unram, Dr. Ihsan Ro’is, M.Si., expressed his appreciation for this collaborative initiative in his opening remarks. He emphasized the importance of partnerships with the global creative industry to broaden students’ perspectives on the dynamic demands of the job market.

“We warmly welcome MiriCanvas to FEB Unram. This is a strategic step in equipping students with graphic design skills that are increasingly needed both in academia and in professional careers. This collaboration is also aligned with our ongoing campus internationalization vision,” said Dr. Ihsan Ro’is.

Meanwhile, Irena Gunawan, Partnership Development Manager at MiriCanvas, stated that this activity is part of MiriCanvas’ commitment to supporting higher education in Indonesia.

“The MiriCanvas Goes to Campus program is one of our ways to contribute to the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. We hope that students can more easily meet their graphic design needs through our practical and innovative platform,” Irena explained.

Through this partnership, students and the academic community of FEB Unram will receive special access to the MiriCanvas platform. A total of 6,000 students will receive MiriCanvas Edu accounts, allowing them to use the platform without a subscription for one year. The podcast recorded during this visit will also be broadcast through FEB Unram’s official social media channels as a form of knowledge dissemination and inspiration for students.
