DJPK Goes To Campus at FEB Universitas Mataram: Strengthening Students’ Understanding of National and Regional Public Finance

Mataram, 20 November 2025 – The Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Mataram (FEB Unram), hosted the DJPK Goes To Campus program held in the Theater Room, Building C, on Thursday, 20 November 2025. This event is a collaborative initiative among the Ministry of Finance One Team in the NTB Region, the Mataram City Government, the Directorate General of Fiscal Balance (DJPK), and the Tax Center of FEB Universitas Mataram to broaden public understanding of national and regional public financial management.

The event began with opening remarks from the Dean of FEB Unram, Dr. Ihsan Ro’is, M.Si. In his speech, he emphasized that the program provides an important platform for students to understand how fiscal policies and the national financial system support regional development. “As future economists, practitioners, and policymakers, students must be equipped with comprehensive knowledge of national and regional public financial governance. Collaborations like this strengthen the fiscal literacy that will be increasingly essential in the future,” he stated.

The session continued with a keynote speech delivered by Ratih Hapsari Kusumawardani, Head of the Regional Office of the State Treasury Service (DJPb) NTB. She highlighted the strategic role of the taxation sector in driving development and underscored the importance of understanding both central and regional taxation, enabling the public to actively participate in monitoring and providing input to the government.

The material session featured three speakers:

  • Subandono, Director of Fiscal Balance Systems, DJPK
  • Erya Tri Satmoko, Tax Extension Officer, Regional Office of the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) Nusa Tenggara
  • Rian Adriandi, Head of the Regional Revenue Control Division, BKAD Mataram City

The speakers delivered comprehensive insights on the relationship between central and regional finance, the mechanism of Transfer to Regions (TKD), and key fiscal instruments such as Regional Taxes. Students gained a clearer understanding of the differences between regional and central taxes, the authorities managing each, and their respective responsibilities in supporting public services.

The event was attended by students from various study programs within FEB Unram. Through the knowledge shared in this session, participants are expected to develop a more accurate perspective in evaluating, monitoring, and providing constructive feedback on the management of national and regional public finances.
