Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Mataram (FEB Unram) welcomed a Team of Representatives from the Central Lombok Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda). The aim of the visit was to discuss Regional Research and Innovation Development Collaboration which is an important focus for regional progress.

During the meeting, a team of representatives from the Central Lombok Bappeda expressed the view that research and innovation have a very vital role in improving the performance of regional government. This is mainly related to increasing regional competitiveness and readiness to face various challenges and opportunities that arise, such as the development of sustainable tourism, the impact of climate change, development of Human Resources (HR), and improvement of good governance.

To make this happen, they emphasize the importance of collaboration between various stakeholders. This collaboration involves local governments, universities, research institutions, the business world and society at large through activities namely, “Establishing Actions to Build Collaboration” (JAMBORE) for Regional Research and Innovation.

The expected results of this activity are recommendations and plans related to research and innovation that are in line with regional priorities, the formation of a sustainable regional research and innovation collaboration network, as well as producing innovations that will be reported in IGA 2025.

The meeting between the Central Lombok Bappeda Representative Team and FEB Unram was an important momentum in strengthening synergy between agencies to support the development of regional research and innovation in order to achieve sustainable progress and have a positive impact on society.
