FEB Unram and Mien R. Uno Foundation Sign MoA and IA to Strengthen Entrepreneurship and Community Empowerment Collaboration

Mataram, February 24, 2026 — The Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Mataram (FEB Unram) officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) and an Implementation Agreement (IA) with the Mien R. Uno Foundation on Tuesday, February 24, 2026. The signing ceremony took place at The Gade Creative Lounge, FEB Unram.

The event was attended by the faculty’s board of deans, heads of departments and study programs, as well as representatives from Mien R. Uno Foundation, namely Ms. Surya Indahsari, Executive Director of the foundation, and Mr. Naufan Hermawan, a member of the foundation’s team.

In his opening remarks, the Dean of FEB Unram, Dr. Ihsan Ro’is, S.T., M.Si., expressed his appreciation for the establishment of this collaboration. He emphasized that the partnership represents a strategic step in strengthening the connection between higher education institutions and nonprofit organizations committed to economic empowerment and entrepreneurship development.

“This cooperation is not merely the signing of formal documents, but a shared commitment to delivering impactful and sustainable programs. We hope this collaboration will create broader opportunities for our students and lecturers to innovate, enhance entrepreneurial competencies, and contribute meaningfully to society,” he stated.

He further highlighted FEB Unram’s readiness to actively support collaborative programs aligned with the faculty’s vision of producing adaptive, creative, and competitive graduates.

In her remarks, Ms. Surya Indahsari introduced Mien R. Uno Foundation as a nonprofit organization dedicated to economic empowerment, human resource development, and inclusive entrepreneurship programs. The foundation focuses particularly on empowering youth, vulnerable groups, and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) through training, mentorship, and capacity-building initiatives.

“We believe that higher education institutions play a crucial role in nurturing resilient and innovative young entrepreneurs. Through this partnership with FEB Unram, we hope to implement programs that generate sustainable impact for students and the wider community,” she explained.

She also expressed her appreciation for FEB Unram’s openness to building a collaboration that goes beyond ceremonial agreements and translates into concrete, impactful initiatives.

The MoA was signed by the Dean of FEB Unram and the Executive Director of Mien R. Uno Foundation as a formal institutional agreement. Meanwhile, the IA was signed by the Vice Dean I for Academic Affairs of FEB Unram as a commitment to program implementation at the operational level.

The ceremony continued with an exchange of souvenirs between both institutions as a symbol of mutual respect and partnership, followed by a group photo session.

Through this MoA and IA signing, FEB Unram reaffirms its commitment to expanding strategic partnerships that support academic excellence and community empowerment. This collaboration is expected to result in innovative, inclusive, and sustainable programs that contribute significantly to entrepreneurship development and economic growth.
