FEB Unram and Undiksha Graduate School Sign Academic Cooperation Agreement and Introduce Doctoral Program in Accounting

Mataram, May 20, 2026 – The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Mataram, officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) and Implementation Agreement (IA) with the Graduate School of the Faculty of Economics, Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) Singaraja as part of efforts to strengthen inter-university academic collaboration. The event, which was also accompanied by a socialization session for the Doctoral Program in Accounting, was held at The Gade Creative Lounge FEB Unram.
The event was attended by the Dean of FEB Unram along with the faculty leadership, heads of study programs, and representatives from the Graduate School of the Faculty of Economics Undiksha Singaraja.
The event began with opening remarks from the Dean of FEB Unram, Dr. Ihsan Ro’is, M.Si.. In his remarks, he stated that the collaboration would become an important opportunity for FEB Unram to expand its academic network while learning from Undiksha’s experience in managing postgraduate programs, particularly the Doctoral Program in Accounting.
“We see that Undiksha has extensive experience and strong management in developing postgraduate programs, especially the Doctoral Program in Accounting. FEB Unram certainly hopes to learn from and establish closer collaboration with Undiksha as part of our efforts to improve academic quality within the faculty,” he stated.
He also explained that FEB Unram currently operates the Doctoral Program in Management and continues to strengthen its postgraduate academic capacity.
“It is possible that in the future FEB Unram will also establish a Doctoral Program in Accounting as part of institutional development and in response to the increasing demand for high-quality higher education,” he added.
The second remarks were delivered by the representative of the Graduate School of the Faculty of Economics Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Gusti Ayu Purnamawati, S.E., M.Si., Ak.. In her speech, she expressed appreciation for the warm welcome from FEB Unram and hoped that the collaboration would provide meaningful benefits for both institutions.
“We highly appreciate this collaboration as a strategic step in strengthening synergy between higher education institutions, particularly in supporting the tridharma of higher education. We hope this partnership will create broader opportunities for collaboration in education, research, community service, and academic resource development,” she said.
The event then continued with the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) by the Dean of FEB Unram, Dr. Ihsan Ro’is, M.Si., together with the representative from Undiksha, Dr. Desak Nyoman Sri Werastuti, S.E., M.Si., Ak., as a commitment from both institutions to strengthen academic and institutional cooperation.
The collaboration activities continued on the second day, Wednesday (21/5), at the Main Conference Room of FEB Unram with the signing of Implementation Agreement’s (IA) between the Faculty of Economics Undiksha and the study programs within FEB Unram. This signing marked a further step in expanding cooperation implementation at the study program level.
Following the signing of the Implementation Agreement (IA), the event proceeded with a socialization session on the Doctoral Program in Accounting delivered by Dr. Desak Nyoman Sri Werastuti, S.E., M.Si., Ak.. In her presentation, she explained the profile of the program, curriculum structure, academic development opportunities, and career prospects for graduates of the Doctoral Program in Accounting amid the growing demands of academia and the professional world.
Through this activity, FEB Unram hopes that the collaboration established with the Graduate School of the Faculty of Economics Undiksha Singaraja will strengthen academic quality, expand collaborative networks, and encourage the development of innovative and competitive postgraduate programs at both national and international levels.
