The Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Mataram and the Job Training Institute (LPK) Kusuma Karya Bangsa and Passion Japan Officially Signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) and Implementing Agreement (IA)

Mataram, 30 July 2024 – On Tuesday, 30 July 2024, in order to increase collaboration in various academic and research fields. The event was held in the hall of The Gade Creative Lounch Pegadaian FEB Unram. This event was attended by faculty leaders, lecturers and academic staff from each representative of the Mataram University Faculty of Economics and Business Study Program. The signing of this MoA was carried out by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, University of Mataram, Dr. Ihsan Ro’is, M.Si., Main Director of LPK Kusuma Karya Bangsa Malang, Imelda Indrawaty Kusuma Malang, and CEO of Passion Japan, Tatsuo Sugiura, who in this case was represented by Sakti Parlinunga as well as representatives from each Head of Department from the Study Program of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Mataram. The MoA signing event was witnessed by a number of university officials and academic staff from both institutions. In his speech, Dr. Ihsan Ro’is, M.Si., said that this collaboration is a strategic step to improve the quality of education and research from both institutions. “With the existence of MOA and IA, we hope to create positive synergy in the development of economics and business, as well as providing great benefits for students and the wider community,” he said. This MoA covers various aspects of collaboration between the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Mataram and LPK Kusuma Karya Bangsa Malang and Passion Japan, including: Research and Development: Collaboration in interdisciplinary research, researcher exchange, and development of joint research projects. Education: Student exchange between the two institutions, joint program implementation, and curriculum development relevant to industry needs. Scientific Publications: Sharing access and resources for scientific publications, as well as supporting the promotion of research results produced by both faculties. Training and Seminars: Organizing workshops, seminars and joint training to increase the academic and professional capacity of staff and students. It is hoped that the signing of this MoA will be an important milestone in strengthening the ongoing collaboration between the Faculty of Economics, University of Mataram and LPK Kusuma Karya Bangsa Malang and Passion Japan and will bring significant benefits to the development of education and research at both institutions.
