Commemoration of Nuzulul Qur’an Ramadan 1447 H at FEB Unram Strengthens Faith and Unity Among the Academic Community

Mataram, March 16, 2026 — The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Mataram (FEB Unram), held a Nuzulul Qur’an commemoration event, accompanied by a religious lecture (tausyiah) and a communal iftar during the holy month of Ramadan 1447 Hijri. The event took place at the FEB Unram mosque and was attended by students from student organizations, lecturers, administrative staff, and outsourcing personnel within the faculty.
The event began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an in a solemn atmosphere, followed by remarks from the Dean of FEB Unram, represented by the Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Alumni, Lalu M. Furkan, S.E., M.M., Ph.D. In his remarks, he emphasized that the commemoration of Nuzulul Qur’an serves as an important moment to strengthen spiritual values in daily life, particularly within the academic environment.
“The commemoration of Nuzulul Qur’an should serve as a reminder for all of us to draw closer to Allah SWT and to uphold the values of the Qur’an as a guide in carrying out our activities, both as members of the academic community and as part of society,” he stated.
He also highlighted the importance of maintaining a balance between intellectual and spiritual development, in order to nurture a generation that excels academically while possessing strong character and integrity.
The event continued with a religious lecture delivered by Dr. H. M. Irwan, M.P., who spoke on the virtues and goodness of the holy month of Ramadan. In his lecture, he encouraged all participants to make the most of Ramadan as an opportunity to enhance faith and devotion through acts of worship and good deeds.
“Ramadan is a blessed month in which every act of worship is multiplied in reward. Therefore, let us take this opportunity to increase our عبادah, improve ourselves, and strengthen our compassion for others,” he conveyed.
In addition to serving as a means to enhance spiritual awareness, the event also functioned as a platform to strengthen bonds among the academic community. This was also emphasized by the Vice Dean for Finance and General Affairs, Baiq Anggun Hilendri Lestari, S.E., Ak., CA., M.Si., who expressed her hope that such programs would continue to be held regularly.
“This activity is not only a means to strengthen our devotion to Allah SWT, but also to foster a sense of togetherness within FEB Unram. We hope that programs like this can continue to be held every year,” she remarked.
The event concluded with a communal iftar in a warm and reflective atmosphere, symbolizing unity and togetherness among all members of the academic community.
Through the implementation of this Nuzulul Qur’an commemoration, FEB Unram reaffirmed its commitment to fostering an academic environment that excels not only intellectually but also in spiritual values and social harmony. This activity is expected to serve as a moment of self-reflection and to strengthen solidarity among the academic community as part of efforts to create a harmonious and character-driven campus environment within Universitas Mataram.
