FACULTY OF ECONOMICS AND BUSINESS, UNIVERSITY OF MATARAM HOLDS A PUBLIC LECTURE “THE IMPACT OF DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF SCIENCE AND COMPETENCIES OF BUSINESS GRADUATES”
Mataram, October 27, 2025 — The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at the University of Mataram held a Public Lecture titled “The Impact of Digital Transformation on the Development of Knowledge and Business Graduate Competencies” on Monday, October 27, 2025, at the Main Meeting Room, Building A, 2nd Floor, FEB University of Mataram.
The event featured Dr. Mery Cintra Sondari, S.E., M.Si., an academic and expert in digital economics and human resource development, as the keynote speaker. The lecture was attended by lecturers and students of FEB Unram, who enthusiastically engaged with the insights shared about shifting academic paradigms in the digital era.
In her presentation, Dr. Mery Cintra Sondari explained that digital transformation not only reshapes global business processes and economic structures but also compels higher education institutions to adapt their curricula and teaching methods.
“Universities must prepare graduates who not only master economic and business theories but also possess adaptability, digital literacy, and strong soft skills to navigate rapid industrial changes,” she stated.
Furthermore, the lecture served as a valuable platform for students to understand how digital technology can be utilized in research, innovation, and modern business practices. Interactive discussions between the speaker and participants enriched the session, broadening students’ perspectives on the challenges and opportunities in the future job market.
In his remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Mataram, expressed appreciation to the speaker for her contribution to expanding the academic horizons of students. He also reaffirmed FEB Unram’s commitment to continually presenting academic activities that are relevant to the advancement of science and the needs of industry.
Through this public lecture, FEB University of Mataram aims to nurture an innovative and competitive generation of graduates who are ready to face the era of digital transformation with professionalism.
