Faculty of Economics and Business, Unram, Holds Public Lecture on “Leadership and Industrial Development” with Expert Staff from the Indonesian Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources

Mataram, October 22, 2025 — The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at the University of Mataram once again held a Public Lecture as part of the 62nd Dies Natalis celebration, carrying the theme “Leadership and Industrial Development: Creating a Leap of National Advancement from the Regions.” The event took place on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 1:00–3:00 PM WITA at the Theater Room, 3rd Floor of Building C, FEB Universitas Mataram.
The session featured Muhammad Iksan Kiat, B.Eng., M.Eng., M.Sc., Expert Staff to the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Indonesia as well as Chairman of the Youth of the Indonesian Oil and Gas Community, as the keynote speaker. He is widely known as an inspiring young figure with remarkable achievements, including graduating with three Summa Cum Laude degrees from universities in Russia, receiving Best Paper awards, and publishing in reputable Q2 international journals, alongside more than ten international recognitions and three academic scholarships.
In his opening remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Dr. Ihsan Ro’is, M.Si., stated that this public lecture is part of FEB Unram’s initiative to broaden students’ perspectives on the importance of leadership and regional innovation in strengthening national competitiveness.
“National industrial development cannot be separated from the role of young regional talents who possess visionary leadership and adaptive capabilities in responding to global changes,” he said.
Meanwhile, in his presentation, Muhammad Iksan Kiat emphasized the importance of cross-sector collaboration and human resource development to address the challenges of industrial transformation in the digital era. He also encouraged students to continuously sharpen their technical, managerial, and innovative skills as key competencies to become future leaders.
The event, moderated by Bq. Krisnina Maharani Putri, S.Ak., M.Acc., a lecturer at FEB Universitas Mataram, ran interactively. Participants enthusiastically raised questions related to leadership, career development, and strategies to navigate changes in the industrial sector.
In addition to gaining valuable insights, participants also received various benefits including e-certificates, seminar materials, networking opportunities, and exciting door prizes.
Through this program, FEB Universitas Mataram hopes to continue serving as a learning platform and source of inspiration for students to actively contribute to the nation’s economic development through visionary and innovative leadership.
