FEB Unram Holds Eid al-Adha 1447 H Qurban, Distributes Meat to 158 Beneficiaries
Mataram, May 27, 2026 – The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Mataram (FEB Unram), once again organized its annual Eid al-Adha qurban activity by sacrificing 2 cows and 8 goats, with the meat distributed to 158 beneficiaries consisting of employees, outsourcing staff, and students within the FEB Unram community.
The qurban activity was held on Tuesday (27/5) in the courtyard of the FEB Unram mosque, coinciding with the celebration of Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah. The event took place from 09.00 a.m. to 03.30 p.m. WITA and included the slaughtering of qurban animals, meat weighing and sorting, a communal lunch, and the distribution of qurban meat packages to beneficiaries.
The qurban program has become an annual tradition at FEB Unram as a form of social care and an effort to strengthen solidarity and family values among the academic community. The activity involved various elements of the faculty, including students, employees, lecturers, administrative staff, and faculty leaders who actively participated throughout the event.
The Dean of FEB Unram, Dr. Ihsan Ro’is, M.Si., stated that Eid al-Adha is not only interpreted as a religious observance but also as a momentum to strengthen togetherness, compassion, and social solidarity within the campus environment.
“Through this qurban activity, we aim to foster the spirit of sharing and strengthen the sense of family within FEB Unram. This activity also serves as an opportunity to reinforce relationships among the academic community through togetherness and mutual cooperation,” he stated.
The qurban animals sacrificed during the event were donated by members of the FEB Unram academic community and contributions from several partner companies supporting FEB Unram. The participation of various parties reflected the spirit of collaboration and social concern that continues to grow within the faculty environment.
The event was carried out in a warm and collaborative atmosphere. Students and committee members actively assisted in the slaughtering process, packaging, and distribution of the qurban meat to the beneficiaries.
Through this activity, FEB Unram hopes that the values of compassion, togetherness, and sharing will continue to flourish within the campus community while providing meaningful benefits to the academic community and surrounding society.
