FEB Unram holds a Workshop on Research Methods in Dissertation Writing: Strengthening the Academic Capacity of Doctoral Students in Management Program FEB Unram

Mataram, August 7, 2025 – The Doctoral Program in Management, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), University of Mataram, held a Research Methodology Workshop for Dissertation Writing on Thursday, August 7, 2025. The event took place at the Magister Management Building of FEB Unram and was attended by doctoral students, supervisors, and academic members concerned with advancing research in the field of management.

The workshop aimed to enhance students’ understanding of appropriate research methods in dissertation writing while providing an academic forum to discuss dynamics, challenges, and the latest developments in research methodology. Featuring experienced speakers in management research methodology, this workshop was designed to improve the quality of dissertations produced by FEB Unram doctoral students.

In his opening remarks, the head of the doctoral program emphasized that the quality of a dissertation is not only determined by analytical sharpness but also by the selection of research methods that are relevant, valid, and accountable. Therefore, this workshop served as a vital platform to strengthen students’ methodological capacity to produce high-quality dissertations that contribute meaningfully to the advancement of knowledge, particularly in management.

The workshop was conducted interactively, featuring presentations, case studies, and open discussions. Participants actively engaged by asking questions and sharing experiences, creating a productive academic atmosphere. Beyond equipping students with technical knowledge, the workshop also encouraged the emergence of innovative research ideas aligned with both academic needs and management practices.

Through this activity, the Doctoral Program in Management at FEB Unram reaffirmed its commitment to supporting students in completing high-quality and internationally competitive dissertations, in line with FEB Unram’s vision as a leading center for education, research, and the development of economics and business in Eastern Indonesia.
