FEB Unram Holds Workshop on Curriculum Reconstruction and Repositioning to Promote Adaptive and Globally Relevant Curriculum Development

Mataram, July 24, 2025 — In an effort to enhance the quality of higher education and respond to contemporary challenges, the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Mataram (FEB Unram) held a Workshop on the Socialization of Curriculum Reconstruction and Repositioning. The event took place on Wednesday, July 24, 2025, in the 2nd Floor Meeting Room, Building A, FEB Unram, and was attended by program managers from all academic levels within the faculty.
This workshop represents a concrete step toward strengthening an academic system that is responsive to global dynamics and aligned with national education policies, such as the Impactful Campus initiative. Through curriculum reconstruction and repositioning, FEB Unram is committed to developing a learning system that is more flexible, innovative, and responsive to the real needs of the job market.
In her opening remarks, the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs at FEB Unram, Dr. Embun Suryani, SE., M.Si., Ph.D., emphasized the importance of synergy between academics and practitioners in designing a curriculum that not only meets national and international accreditation standards, but also nurtures both soft and hard skills among students.
“Curriculum reconstruction and repositioning are not merely about replacing or adding courses; it’s about building a contextual and integrative curriculum that bridges the gap between labor market demands and the advancement of scientific knowledge,” stated one of the faculty leaders during the opening session.
The workshop also featured an open discussion among program leaders regarding strategies for implementing the new curriculum, challenges in developing learning outcomes, and the integration of digital technology into the learning process.
Through this initiative, each program at FEB Unram is expected to comprehensively review its curriculum and develop a roadmap for academic growth that is more adaptive to the ongoing transformation in higher education.
FEB Unram remains committed to advancing a curriculum that is relevant, dynamic, and impactful in developing human resources both regionally and nationally.
