FEB Unram Holds Workshop on Scientific Writing in the Era of AI and Academic Integrity
Mataram, July 28, 2025 — The Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Mataram (FEB Unram), successfully held a scientific writing workshop entitled “Artificial Intelligence & Academic Integrity: A Guide to Scientific Writing in the AI Era” on Monday, July 28, 2025. The event took place at the FEB Unram Hall and was attended by study program coordinators, faculty members, and academic staff.
This workshop is part of FEB Unram’s commitment to strengthening the quality of academic writing and promoting ethical research practices in the midst of rapid technological transformation—particularly the growing influence of artificial intelligence (AI) in academia.
The keynote speaker, Prof. Sunu Widianto, SE., M.Sc., Ph.D., an expert in research methodology and AI application in education, delivered an insightful session on how AI can be used responsibly in the research and publication process without compromising academic integrity.
“AI should be seen as a tool to assist thinking, not to replace the thinking process itself. This workshop aims to help academics develop scientific articles that remain original, ethical, and impactful—even when supported by advanced technology,” Prof. Sunu emphasized in his presentation.
Throughout the session, participants engaged actively in discussions and case studies related to AI-generated content, plagiarism detection, authorship responsibility, and practical tools for enhancing scientific writing.
This initiative aligns with FEB Unram’s academic quality assurance strategy, providing continuous capacity-building programs for its faculty members. It also reflects the faculty’s commitment to fostering a research culture that is both innovative and ethically grounded.
By the end of the workshop, participants expressed appreciation for the new insights and practical strategies shared, which are expected to enhance the integrity and quality of future research outputs at FEB Unram.

Program insentif ini berlaku untuk karya yang dipublikasikan pada periode antara bulan Desember 2021 sampai dengan Nopember 2022. Adapun batas waktu (deadline) pengisian formulir ini adalah tanggal 30 Nopember 2022.
