FEB UNRAM International Class Public Lecture “Environmental Degradation and Flood: A Malaysia Story”

Mataram, October 9, 2024 – The Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Mataram (FEB UNRAM) once again held a public lecture entitled “Environmental Degradation and Flood: A Malaysia Story” at the FEB UNRAM Theater Room on Wednesday, October 9, 2024. This event presented speakers, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bakti bin Hasan Basri, who serves as Dean of the School of Economics, Finance and Banking (SEFB) Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bakti bin Hasan Basri, who is an expert in development economics, presented various case studies and data related to environmental management and disaster mitigation efforts in Malaysia. He highlighted the important role of sustainable economic policies in preventing further environmental degradation and facing future threats. This event was attended by lecturers, students, and other academics who were enthusiastic about deepening their knowledge of environmental issues relevant to the context of Indonesia and the Southeast Asia region. This activity is expected to broaden the participants’ insights about the importance of international collaboration in addressing global environmental problems.
