Mataram, July 8, 2026 – The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Mataram (FEB Unram), held a coordination meeting for the 2026 Orientation Program for New Students (Pengenalan Kehidupan Kampus bagi Mahasiswa Baru/PKKMB) on Tuesday (July 8) in the FEB Unram Meeting Room. The meeting was chaired by Muhammad Jamil, Head of the Student Affairs and Alumni Working Team, and attended by representatives of student organizations who will serve as key partners in organizing the faculty-level PKKMB program.

The coordination meeting marked the initial stage of preparations for PKKMB 2026, aiming to ensure that the program is well-organized, educational, and focused on fostering the potential of incoming students. It also provided an opportunity for all stakeholders to establish a shared understanding of the program’s concept, implementation mechanisms, and objectives in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of Indonesia.

During the meeting, participants agreed that PKKMB 2026 should serve not only as an introduction to campus life but also as a platform for nurturing student achievement, character development, and the successful academic and social adaptation of new students to university life.

The meeting also emphasized the importance of creating a safe, educational, and inclusive orientation program that is free from hazing or any form of abusive practices. In addition, Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence (PPKS) was confirmed as one of the mandatory topics to be delivered to all incoming students.

Another key discussion focused on the orientation curriculum, which will prioritize mapping students’ interests, talents, and achievements through data collection to support personalized student development throughout their academic journey. New students will also be introduced to student organizations, student achievement development programs, and inspirational sharing sessions featuring outstanding students.

The implementation of PKKMB 2026 will involve collaboration among various units within the faculty, including student organizations, the Student Affairs Office, the Dean’s Office, academic departments, study programs, and other supporting units. This collaborative approach is expected to provide a positive first-campus experience for new students while strengthening cooperation across the faculty.

The meeting also established several expected outcomes for PKKMB 2026, including the development of an initial database on students’ interests, talents, and achievements; the enhancement of students’ soft skills and character; broader access to student organizations and academic networks; the preparation of a student achievement development roadmap; the drafting of initial proposals for the Student Creativity Program (PKM); and increased awareness of national-level student competitions.

Through careful planning and strong collaboration among all stakeholders, FEB Unram hopes that PKKMB 2026 will become a meaningful starting point for new students, equipping them to become adaptable, ethical, high-achieving individuals who are ready to actively contribute to both academic life and student organizations throughout their studies at Universitas Mataram.
