General Lecture on “Co-creating Innovation and Building a Sustainable Research Ecosystem between ASEAN–Japan” Held at FEB Unram

The Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Mataram (FEB Unram), held a General Lecture on Monday, 17 November 2025, featuring the theme “Co-creating Innovation and Building a Sustainable Research Ecosystem between ASEAN–Japan.” The event aimed to broaden students’ global perspectives by exploring opportunities for collaborative innovation and strengthening research partnerships within the ASEAN–Japan academic landscape.

The session presented two distinguished speakers from Japan:
Prof. Dr. Hidetoshi Miyazaki and Kunikiho Shizume, Ph.D. Both speakers delivered insightful perspectives on the future of cross-regional cooperation, emphasizing the importance of shared innovation, knowledge exchange, and the development of sustainable research environments in universities and research institutions.

Participants of the lecture consisted of undergraduate students from the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Mataram. Throughout the session, students actively engaged with the speakers through discussions and Q&A, gaining exposure to international academic insights and emerging opportunities for innovation-driven collaboration between ASEAN and Japan.

The event was held in the Main Conference Hall of FEB Unram, providing a formal and conducive setting for academic exchange. This general lecture is part of FEB Unram’s ongoing initiative to strengthen international academic networks and encourage students to participate in global conversations surrounding innovation, research sustainability, and future regional cooperation.

With the presence of esteemed international scholars, this activity is expected to inspire students to explore broader research perspectives and contribute to collaborative academic development across ASEAN and Japan.
