On Monday, October 14, 2024, the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Mataram proudly held a Gridwiz Research Results and Introduction Workshop. This event is a collaboration between the University of Mataram, Gridwiz—an innovative start-up based in South Korea—and the Regional Research and Innovation Agency (BRIDA). In addition, this event was also supported by government agencies and several vocational schools in the West Nusa Tenggara region. This workshop aims to introduce Gridwiz as one of the leading innovators in the field of electric vehicle technology, as well as presenting research results related to the desire to use and willingness to pay for electric vehicles in the city of Mataram. This research is expected to provide new insights into how the Mataram community responds to global trends related to environmentally friendly transportation and sustainability. The activity began with an official opening followed by remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Mataram and the Head of BRIDA who will convey the importance of this research collaboration in the context of developing technological innovation in Indonesia. The next session is filled with a presentation from Gridwiz, who will provide an in-depth overview of their technology and products, followed by a presentation of research results developed together with the S-cube Center. This presentation not only discusses the technical aspects of electric vehicle innovation, but also reveals research results that reflect the market potential in Mataram City. The event will end with a Q&A session, where participants can discuss directly with the research team and Gridwiz regarding technology, research results, and the potential for electric vehicle adoption in Indonesia. We hope that this event can be a strong foundation in supporting the implementation of electric vehicles in Indonesia and an opportunity for stakeholders to play an active role in innovation and development of green technology in the future.
