The entire academic community of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Mataram, participated in the Commemoration Ceremony of the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia which was held on August 17, 2024 at the Rectorate Field. This event was attended by all lecturers, educators, students, and new students who had just joined as part of the University of Mataram. The ceremony began with the raising of the red and white flag, followed by the reading of the proclamation text and prayer. The speech from the Chancellor of the University of Mataram emphasized the importance of the spirit of independence and dedication in carrying out their respective roles, both as educators and students. In his speech, the Chancellor reminded that independence is the result of a long struggle and must be appreciated with real contributions in every aspect of life, including in the world of education. In addition, the series of events also included the awarding of the Satya Lencana Karya to lecturers at the University of Mataram who had shown extraordinary dedication and achievements. The event ended with a series of exciting activities that showcased culture, such as traditional art performances, competitions, and cultural exhibitions involving students and educators. This activity not only adds to the atmosphere of togetherness and family in the Faculty of Economics and Business environment, but also provides an opportunity for everyone to celebrate and get to know more about the richness of Indonesian culture.
