Mataram, September 2, 2024 – The Management Department of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) of the University of Mataram held a presentation preparation workshop for The 1st International Student Conference on Management (ISCOM) 2024. This workshop aims to prepare students who will present their research results at the international conference, which is scheduled to take place on October 4-5, 2024. Nur Aida Arifah Tara, Ph.D., as the chair of the ISCOM 2024 committee, explained the importance of thorough preparation before attending an international conference. Presentations at international forums require more than just understanding the material. Participants must be able to convey their ideas effectively, convincingly, and in accordance with global academic standards. Therefore, this workshop is very important to provide direction, simulations, and evaluations that help participants appear confident and competent. In addition to the presentation of material on good presentation techniques, this event was also combined with presentation simulations by the participants. Through this simulation, participants can practice delivering their material, get input from mentors, and improve weaknesses in their delivery style and content mastery. It is hoped that with this workshop, students will not only be technically prepared, but also mentally prepared to face challenges in international forums, while increasing their confidence to compete at the global level.
