By Published On: 2 December, 2024

The Ministry of Human Resources Development of BEM FEB UNRAM has successfully held an MC Class, a training specifically designed to hone students’ public speaking skills while building their self-confidence as a Master of Ceremony (MC). This program was attended by approximately 20 selected participants who were enthusiastic about learning and developing themselves in the field of communication. In this training, the participants received very comprehensive material. They were taught how to open an event with confidence, maintain the dynamics of the event so that it remains interesting, and close the event with a deep impression. In addition, the direct practice session provided participants with real experience in performing in front of the public, complete with evaluations from an experienced mentor, Siti Raehanun Shaleha.SE. This activity includes: Theory Session: Participants learn the basics of public speaking, such as vocal techniques, stage mastery, and building self-confidence.
Simulation and Direct Practice: Participants are given the opportunity to act as an MC in an event simulation, so that they can practice what they have learned.
Feedback and Evaluation: Each participant received direct input from the mentor to improve the quality of their performance.
Participants showed extraordinary enthusiasm. They not only learned technical skills, but also gained valuable lessons on how to become communicative, adaptive, and professional individuals. The atmosphere during the training was very positive, where participants supported each other and shared experiences. Public speaking skills are one of the important skills that are very relevant in various areas of life, both on campus and in the workplace. With a program like this, it is hoped that FEB UNRAM students can become more confident individuals and be able to contribute to various events and organizations. Thank you to all participants, mentors, and committees who have contributed to the success of this event. Hopefully this training will be the beginning of a journey for participants to continue to develop and work.
