Mataram, May 20, 2026 – The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Mataram, hosted the SRIKANDI PLN Goes to Campus program featuring a seminar themed Preventing Sexual Harassment in Campus and Workplace Environments on Wednesday (20/5) at the Hall of Building E FEB Unram. The event was enthusiastically attended by students of FEB Unram as part of efforts to increase awareness about the importance of creating safe, healthy, and harassment-free academic and professional environments.

The seminar featured dr. Diatmika, Sp.KJ(K), M.Biomed., M.H., CMC. and the General Manager of PLN UIW NTB, Sri Heny Purwanti, as speakers. Both speakers emphasized the importance of education, courage to speak up, and building a culture of mutual respect in both academic and workplace settings.

The event was officially opened by the Dean of FEB Unram, Dr. Ihsan Ro’is, M.Si.. In his remarks, he stated that sexual harassment is a serious issue that requires collective attention, especially within higher education institutions.

“A university is not only a place for academic development, but also a space that must guarantee safety and comfort for all members of the academic community. Through this event, we hope students will gain the courage to understand, prevent, and stand against all forms of sexual harassment, both on campus and in their future workplaces,” he stated.

He also expressed appreciation for PLN through the SRIKANDI PLN Goes to Campus initiative, which he considered a positive contribution toward raising awareness among young generations about mental health, professional ethics, and the importance of inclusive and safe workplace cultures.

During the seminar session, the speakers discussed various forms and impacts of sexual harassment, the importance of prevention and awareness campaigns, and practical steps that victims or witnesses can take to report incidents through the speak up challenge movement. Participants were also given the opportunity to engage directly with experts during an interactive question-and-answer session.

In addition to addressing social issues, the event also featured a career talk session and an introduction to PLN’s products and services. Through this session, participants gained insights into career opportunities, professional work culture, and innovations developed by PLN in supporting electricity services and digital transformation.

The seminar atmosphere was highly interactive and engaging. Participants actively joined discussions, asked questions, and participated in various activities prepared by the organizers. To further enliven the event, the committee also provided giveaways and exclusive merchandise for participants.

Through the SRIKANDI PLN Goes to Campus program, FEB Unram hopes students will become more aware of the importance of fostering safe, inclusive, and respectful environments while also preparing themselves to face the professional world with strong ethical awareness and the courage to speak up against violence and discrimination.
