Mataram, August 4–13, 2025 – The Doctoral Program in Management, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), University of Mataram, successfully organized a Matriculation Program for new doctoral students of the 2025/2026 academic year. The program was held over ten days, from August 4 to August 13, 2025, at the Magister Management Building of FEB Unram.

Matriculation serves as a crucial agenda designed to provide academic orientation, strengthen the foundation of research methodology, and instill a solid understanding of research ethics required for doctoral studies. It also aims to prepare students for the challenges of doctoral-level education, which demand analytical depth, independent thinking, and meaningful contributions to the advancement of knowledge.

In his remarks, the Head of the Doctoral Management Program at FEB Unram highlighted that matriculation is not merely an introduction but an essential foundation for building a strong academic culture. “Through matriculation, students are not only equipped with an understanding of the doctoral education system but are also encouraged to foster academic commitment, integrity, and collaboration. These are the key elements to producing high-quality doctoral graduates who are globally competitive and capable of providing solutions to complex management issues,” he emphasized.

The program included a series of activities such as public lectures, curriculum introduction, research methodology workshops, academic literacy enhancement, and interactive discussions with faculty and senior students. The sessions were conducted in an engaging manner, where new students actively participated in discussions and shared perspectives on contemporary management issues.

Furthermore, this matriculation program served as a platform to strengthen academic networking among students from diverse backgrounds—ranging from practitioners and bureaucrats to academicians. Such diversity is expected to encourage innovative research collaboration relevant to both societal needs and business practices.

By organizing this matriculation, the Doctoral Management Program at FEB Unram reaffirmed its commitment to supporting new students from the very beginning of their academic journey, while preparing them to complete high-quality dissertations that contribute significantly to the development of management science at both national and international levels.
