The Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Mataram held a Workshop and Bootcamp for Preparing Scientific Writing (KTI) specifically for FEB Students at Mataram University. This event aims to improve students’ ability to write quality KTI and prepare them to face various scientific competitions and final assignments. This workshop was held in the Hall of the Master of Management Building on August 1 and will last for the next few days. This training was held by presenting three extraordinary presenters who have extensive expertise and experience in their fields. The first speaker was Mrs. Nur Aida Arifah Tara, M.Sc., Ph.D, an expert in the field of economic research who has produced many scientific works that are recognized nationally and internationally. He provides guidance on how to determine ideas and find research problems, as well as how to determine research gaps and research novelty. This material is very important to help students identify topics that are relevant and have significant scientific contributions. The second speaker was Mrs. Elin Erlina Sasanti, SE., M.Acc., Ak., who has special expertise in accounting and management. Mrs. Elin shared knowledge about effective and efficient data collection methods. Apart from that, he also explained how to check plagiarism through Turnitin, an important tool for ensuring the originality of scientific papers and avoiding violations of academic ethics. The third speaker is Mr. Ahmad Zaenal Wafik, SE., M.Ec.Dev., a lecturer and economist who has extensive experience in economic development research. Mr. Ahmad provides in-depth insight into the use of Mendeley and Zotero, two reference management tools that are very useful in academic writing. He also discussed in detail the stages of preparing a paper, starting from planning, writing structure, to effective editing techniques. Apart from material sessions, this workshop and bootcamp also provides direct practice sessions where participants can try to compile parts of their KTI with direct guidance from the presenters. Participants were also given the opportunity to discuss and ask questions about the challenges they faced in the KTI writing process. This event not only provides theoretical knowledge but also very valuable practical experience for students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Mataram. By attending this workshop and bootcamp, it is hoped that students can improve their writing skills and produce high-quality scientific papers.
