The Faculty of Economics and Business, Unram’s Diploma 3 Tourism Program Holds a RPS Evaluation to Improve the Quality of the Tourism Curriculum and Learning.

Mataram, August 7, 2025 – The Diploma in Tourism Program, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), University of Mataram, held an Evaluation of the Semester Learning Plan (RPS) at Building D, FEB Unram. This activity represents an important step in improving curriculum quality, enhancing the learning process, and aligning it with the evolving needs of the tourism industry.

The event was attended by the Head and Secretary of the Diploma in Tourism Program, along with all lecturers responsible for courses within the program. Their presence was expected to provide constructive feedback and evaluation on the implementation of the RPS that has been used so far, in order to produce RPS documents that are more adaptive, relevant, and aligned with the expected graduate profiles.

On this occasion, the Head of the Diploma in Tourism Program emphasized that the evaluation of the RPS is part of the continuous cycle of academic quality assurance. “The RPS is an essential guide for both lecturers and students in the learning process. Through this evaluation, we ensure that the learning provided not only meets national higher education standards but also addresses the challenges of the tourism industry and the needs of society,” he stated.

Through this RPS evaluation, the Diploma in Tourism Program at FEB Unram reaffirmed its commitment to providing high-quality and innovative tourism education, in line with the spirit of impactful education. The results of the evaluation are expected to serve as a foundation for curriculum refinement, improvement of teaching materials, and the development of more interactive and applicable teaching methods.

This activity also strengthens the role of the Diploma in Tourism Program, FEB Unram, in supporting the vision of the faculty and the university: producing competent and competitive graduates who are able to make meaningful contributions to the development of the tourism sector, both at the local and national levels.
