Undergraduate Development Economics Program Undergoes On-Site Assessment by LAMEMBA for Study Program Accreditation

Mataram, May 24, 2025 — The Undergraduate Development Economics Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), University of Mataram, underwent an on-site assessment as part of the accreditation process by the Independent Accreditation Institute for Economics, Management, Business, and Accounting (LAMEMBA) from May 21 to 24, 2025.

This on-site assessment is a crucial component of the academic quality evaluation process aimed at ensuring and enhancing the quality of education. Two assessors from LAMEMBA visited FEB University of Mataram in person on Thursday and Friday, May 22–23, 2025. The assessors were Dr. Lilik Sugiharti, S.E., M.Si. and Dr. Nurul Badriyah, S.E., M.E.

The assessment activities were officially opened on Thursday (May 22) and attended by university and faculty leaders, including the Rector of the University of Mataram, Vice Rectors, Heads of Institutions and Units, members of the University and Faculty Senate, as well as the Faculty Accreditation Team.

The first day of the assessment consisted of clarification and verification sessions, along with discussions between the assessors and the study program management. The second day (May 23) focused on inspecting the learning facilities and infrastructure at both the study program and university levels to ensure the adequacy and quality of facilities in supporting the student learning process.

The Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business expressed his hope that the assessment would yield optimal results. “We hope that through this on-site assessment, the Development Economics Program will achieve an ‘Excellent’ accreditation and continue to contribute to producing competent and competitive graduates,” he stated.

With the implementation of this assessment, FEB University of Mataram is further motivated to continuously improve the quality of higher education delivery that is excellent, relevant, and sustainable.
