Visit of Dr. Imran Haider from Curtin University to the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Mataram
On 20 September 2024, the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Mataram, received a visit from Dr. Imran Haider, a representative from Curtin University. The visit was themed “Enhancing Corporate Accountability and Transparency through Good Corporate Governance in the Hospitality Industry” and was a valuable opportunity to strengthen international relations and open up new opportunities in academics and research. During the visit, Dr. Imran Haider discussed the theme in depth, explaining the latest developments in the global economy and innovations in business practices. Discussions covered how good corporate governance can improve accountability and transparency in the hospitality industry, as well as the challenges faced by the industry in the face of market changes. The event also discussed potential collaborations between Curtin University and University of Mataram, including the possibility of developing joint education programs, collaborative research, and academic exchanges that can enrich the learning experience at both institutions. Lecturers and students of the Faculty of Economics and Business took advantage of this opportunity to broaden their horizons and establish international connections. Discussions and QA sessions provided opportunities for participants to explore topics relevant to their fields of study and gain new perspectives from experts in their fields.
