Biography

Born in Mataram City on December 3, 1974, he is an academic and professional in the field of economics who currently serves as Vice Dean for Academic Affairs at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Mataram for the period 2025–2029. He is also active as a lecturer in the Management Study Program at the same faculty.

His educational journey began with obtaining a Bachelor of Economics (S.E) from the University of Mataram in 1997. He then continued his master’s studies at Gadjah Mada University, and successfully obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in 2001. His dedication and commitment to science led him to pursue doctoral education at Nagoya University, Japan, and graduated with a Ph.D. in 2020.

Beyond academic pursuits, Embun Suryani is also active in professional organizations. She is listed as a member of the Indonesian Economists Association (ISEI) for the 2022–2025 term, reflecting her ongoing contributions to the development of economics and higher education in Indonesia.
