Mataram, April 28, 2026<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 The Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Mataram (FEB Unram), in collaboration with the Directorate of State Budget Strategy (DSAPBN) of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, held a public lecture themed \u201cFiscal Scenarios\u201d<\/em> at the Hall of Building E FEB Unram on Tuesday (28\/4).<\/p>\n

The event was attended by dozens of students, lecturers, FEB Unram academic leaders, as well as fiscal practitioners and analysts from DSAPBN of the Ministry of Finance. The program began with the singing of the Indonesian national anthem, followed by opening remarks delivered by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs of FEB Unram, Prof. Embun Suryani, S.E., M.Si., Ph.D., the signing of a cooperation agreement, the public lecture session, and a fiscal discussion forum.<\/p>\n

In her remarks, Prof. Embun Suryani stated that the public lecture aimed to help students gain a better understanding of government fiscal policies and fiscal scenarios in response to current economic conditions.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis public lecture is intended to help students understand the government\u2019s fiscal policies and scenarios, so they can become more critical in responding to today\u2019s economic situation,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

The main lecture session featured Dewi Puspita, Senior Analyst at the Directorate of State Budget Strategy, as the keynote speaker. During her presentation, she explained the government\u2019s fiscal policy strategies in maintaining economic growth and public welfare through a healthy and sustainable state budget (APBN).<\/p>\n

The presentation covered various topics, including the role of the state budget as an economic stabilization instrument, fiscal distribution and allocation functions, Indonesia\u2019s economic and fiscal performance in 2025\u20132026, as well as the direction of the 2026 state budget policy focused on food security, education, healthcare, investment, and rural development.<\/p>\n

Participants also received insights into Indonesia\u2019s economic condition, which remains relatively stable with national economic growth reaching 5.11 percent throughout 2025, along with the government\u2019s strategies in maintaining fiscal discipline and economic stability.<\/p>\n

Following the public lecture, the event continued with a fiscal forum divided into three discussion classes, consisting of two classes for students and one class specifically for lecturers. In these sessions, practitioners and analysts from DSAPBN provided more in-depth discussions regarding fiscal scenarios, state budget policies, and Indonesia\u2019s economic challenges.<\/p>\n

Through this activity, FEB Unram hopes that students and lecturers can gain broader insights into national fiscal policy while strengthening their critical understanding of economic dynamics and the role of the state budget in national development<\/p>\n\n\t\t
