FEB Unram Welcomes 1,196 New Students through 2026 Campus Orientation Program

Mataram, August 16, 2026 — The Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Mataram (FEB Unram), held its 2026 Campus Orientation Program (PKKMB) over three days, from Friday to Sunday (14–16/8). The program welcomed 1,196 new students across six study programs at FEB Unram.
The first day of the orientation, held on Friday (14/8), was organized by each study program at the FEB Unram building. The program introduced new students to their respective study programs, academic environments, and learning processes, helping them become more familiar with their new surroundings and prepare for their university experience.
Of the 1,196 new students, 227 students enrolled in the Bachelor’s Program in Economics and Development Studies (IESP), 304 students in the Bachelor’s Program in Management, and 230 students in the Bachelor’s Program in Accounting. Meanwhile, 159 students enrolled in the Diploma III Program in Accounting, 144 students in the Diploma III Program in Taxation, and 133 students in the Diploma III Program in Tourism.
The second and third days, held on Saturday and Sunday (15–16/8), continued with faculty-level orientation activities at the University of Mataram Auditorium. During these sessions, new students were introduced to various aspects of academic life at FEB Unram, including academic administration, learning facilities and infrastructure, and student affairs.
In addition to introducing the academic environment, the students received sessions on several topics relevant to university life and broader social issues. These included the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), prevention and handling of sexual violence, entrepreneurship, and other topics designed to broaden students’ perspectives and raise awareness of important issues on campus and in society.
The final day focused on student organizations and achievement development. One of the main sessions, “How to Succeed and Achieve Excellence in University,” encouraged students to look beyond academic achievement by actively developing their skills, interests, leadership abilities, and experiences throughout their university journey.
The students were also introduced to various student organizations at FEB Unram. This session provided an overview of the opportunities available for students to develop their interests and talents, strengthen leadership and organizational skills, and become actively involved in campus life.
Through the 2026 Campus Orientation Program, FEB Unram introduced its new students not only to the academic environment and university systems but also to the opportunities and responsibilities that come with being part of the university community. The program marked the beginning of their academic journey and encouraged the 1,196 new students to adapt to campus life, develop their potential, and pursue academic and non-academic achievements throughout their studies at FEB Unram.
