FEB UNRAM Holds Nuzulul Qur’an Commemoration: Achieving Blessings in the Last 10 Nights of Ramadhan

Mataram, March 20 2025 – Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Mataram (FEB UNRAM) held a Nuzulul Qur’an commemoration and breaking the fast together at the Babussalam FEB UNRAM Prayer Room. This event was attended by leaders, lecturers, staff, outsourcing staff, and FEB UNRAM students who also enlivened the spiritual moment in the holy month of Ramadhan.
The event began with remarks from the Dean of FEB UNRAM, Dr. Ihsan Rois, M.Sc. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of using the last 10 nights of the month of Ramadan to increase worship and strengthen togetherness among the FEB UNRAM academic community.
After the reception, the event continued with a religious talk delivered by TGH. Kamarullah, SHI., MHI., Dean of the Sharia Faculty of Qamarul Huda Institute of Islamic Religion, Bagu, Central Lombok. In his talk, he spoke about the priority of the last 10 nights in the month of Ramadan. TGH. Kamarullah explained that the last nights of the month of Ramadan are a very special time for Muslims, where there is the night of Laylatul Qadar which is better than a thousand months. He also emphasized the importance of increasing worship, such as increasing evening prayers, dhikr, and reading the Koran, as well as increasing social awareness by giving alms.
After the lecture, the event continued with breaking the fast together. Takjil in the form of dates, compote and water was an appetizer before the participants carried out the Maghrib prayer in congregation. After the prayer, the committee distributed rice boxes to around 100 participants who attended, consisting of lecturers, staff, students and outsourcing staff.
It is hoped that the commemoration of Nuzulul Qur’an and breaking the fast together can increase faith and strengthen family within the FEB UNRAM academic community. With a spirit of togetherness and Islamic values that continue to be upheld, FEB UNRAM is committed to always fostering a religious and harmonious academic environment.
