FEB Unram Holds monsoonSIM Workshop to Strengthen Lecturers’ Competencies in Digital Business Simulation

Mataram, May 18, 2026 – The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Mataram, held a monsoonSIM Workshop on Monday (18/5) at the Main Conference Room, 2nd Floor of Building A, FEB Unram. Conducted online through Zoom Meeting, the workshop was attended by lecturers within FEB Unram as part of the faculty’s commitment to strengthening academic competencies and promoting technology-based learning innovation.

The workshop was initiated by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs of FEB Unram, Prof. Embun Suryani, S.E., M.Si., Ph.D., as an effort to introduce learning methods that are adaptive to the rapid development of business and digital technology.

The workshop featured Elrond Rafsa Adjani and Christian Daud Hanjaya as speakers, both outstanding students from the Faculty of Business and Economics at Universitas Surabaya majoring in Business Management with a specialization in Investment and Financial Intermediaries.

The activity aimed to enhance lecturers’ understanding, knowledge, and skills in utilizing monsoonSIM as an interactive and integrated business simulation platform. Through the workshop, participants were introduced to a simulation system designed to provide comprehensive insights into business management processes, ranging from planning and execution to business decision-making evaluation within a realistic work-environment simulation.

During the session, the speakers explained that monsoonSIM is a business simulation platform designed to integrate various aspects of company management into one unified system. Participants were able to practice concepts related to management, accounting, marketing, operations, human resources, and business strategy through an applied and experiential learning approach.

Beyond theoretical understanding, the use of monsoonSIM also encouraged participants to gain practical experience in data analysis, business strategy development, teamwork, and making quick, accurate, and information-based business decisions. This learning approach is considered highly relevant to the needs of both education and industry in the digital era, where adaptability and technological proficiency are increasingly essential.

The workshop was conducted interactively with enthusiastic participation from attendees. During the discussion and simulation practice sessions, lecturers actively explored the platform’s features and discussed its potential implementation in teaching and learning activities within FEB Unram.

Through this workshop, FEB Unram hopes that the implementation of monsoonSIM can become an innovative learning medium that supports the development of both academic and professional competencies for lecturers and students. Furthermore, the activity is expected to enhance critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills in responding to the dynamics of modern business competition and ongoing digital transformation.
